Day 23 : Strength

Phillipians 4:12-13

“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”

That verse, is so encouraging for me to hear. How Paul, the author, is in prison, but still writes that he has strength in God, whether starving or poor, he has strength in Him.

I desire that kind of strength, the kind that death will not be able to break.

I haven’t updated in a few days on what I’ve been doing.
The reason why I haven’t is because, well, I haven’t really been doing anything. Nothing special has happened at all the past few days. But I’ll still let you in on what I’ve been doing!

I had my first experience with an ELECTRIC LAWNMOWER! What the heck is that!? I never knew it even existed! It was pretty entertaining though, I felt like I was playing with a kids toy the whole time.

Since I’m staying at the YWAM base in a district outside of Hamburg, I haven’t seen Johanna in a few days, so for the first time in 4 days, I got out of the YWAM base and took a few trains to get to Hamburg where Johanna is. Johanna’s friend, Sophia, her dad wanted to cook me some Salmon for dinner. So Johanna and I joined Sophia at her house where her dad made some AMAZING salmon from Denmark! The best I’ve had, for sure!

I finally bought my train ticket to Herrnhut! I leave in 2 days for school! AHHHH! I’m so pumped! And I was able to find a decent deal for my train ticket :-).

This week since I’ve had so much free time I’ve picked up the guitar again and learned a few new songs for me! It’s great to just sit and play and relearnd a lot of things I used to do in the past. I’ve always loved guitar, just wish I could’ve spent more time with it then I did in the past.

This whole week and a half at YWAM was literally the week of “DOING NOTHING/HANG OUT” week. So, I really don’t have any other interesting stories. Just wait til I go to school and live with 80 other kids from all around the world, THEN I’ll have some VERY INTERESTING stories for you guys.

1. Here is me with a Doner! Doner’s are very popular here in Germany. They are actually from Turkey, but more popular in Germany than Turkey. Doners saved my life from starvation of American food. They are basically the same as chipotle burritos, in a sense of a BIG, FAT, GREASY, JUICY sandwich! Ah, so refreshing and fat! I love it!
